Leica Stereomicroscope

Approximate Time: 1 hour
Pre-requisite: None
__________________________________________________________________________

This training session is a complete hands-on introduction to the fluorescence stereomicroscope. Users will be taught how to capitalize on the advantages of stereomicroscopy and also shown a few optical techniques not commonly demonstrated. The three light paths, including fluorescence, will be discussed. Finally, significant time will be dedicated to running the image acquisition software and CCD colour camera. Topics covered in the course include:

1. Advantages and Disadvantages of Stereomicroscopy
2. Operating the Microscope
3. Transmitted Light Path
4. Reflected Light Path
5. Fluorescence Light Path
6. Optimizing the Microscope
7. Image Acquisition

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss training on this microscope.
